Ningbo, China – In a significant collaboration aimed at enhancing livestock management in West Africa, GFARM, the largest ranch in The Gambia, recently visited BellaEx. This visit focused on a technical tour and sourcing opportunities, particularly reviewing steam-flaked corn and advanced feed logistics solutions tailored for beef and dairy rations.

During their time at BellaEx, the GFARM team was introduced to a comprehensive steam-flaked corn solution, which includes conditioning, roller flaking, and a dryer/cooler system designed for efficient ranch-scale deployment. This innovative approach promises to optimize feed quality and improve livestock productivity, addressing the growing demands of the Gambian ranching sector.

The itinerary also included a plant tour at CP Group’s bulk feed-truck factory, Xin Bai Qin, located in Cixi City, Ningbo. Here, the GFARM representatives gained insights into bulk dispatch and route logistics, crucial for enhancing their operational efficiency back home.

Further discussions took place at the GSI centralized storage facility, where the team reviewed CP’s silo operations and explored advanced poultry production equipment, including layer lines and broiler equipment. These insights are expected to play a pivotal role in scaling up poultry production in The Gambia.

In Yuyao, the GFARM team sourced veterinary syringes and consumables essential for beef, dairy, and poultry health management. Several items were selected on-site, with samples taken for further evaluation.

The visit concluded with GFARM expressing strong satisfaction with the solutions and equipment presented, leading to immediate purchases. This partnership marks a significant step towards enhancing agricultural practices in The Gambia, showcasing the potential for continued collaboration in the livestock sector.
